Introducing…. Twitter

Since we have redesigned our blog, I have been tasked to write about different things throughout the week. For those who have read our blog in the past, it would appear that Rachel has been the only one blogging. That is true to some extent, since she has been the only one blogging on nicknrachel.com, while I’ve been busy on the other side of the Internet.
For those who do not already know, I currently manage another blog called HTC Source. I wouldn’t say it’s a huge success, but I do have about 700 readers a day on the site and I’ve been able to make some money on it with Google Adsense and selling link and ad space. I’m a huge tech fanatic and love writing about phones (as long as it’s an HTC). A few months back, I launched another blog called My Tech Wall. the idea behind it was to get a few other bloggers together and write about tech news. It didn’t last long since my writers were not very dedicated and I was torn between the two blog sites.
So… on to Tech Tuesdays. Every week I’ll be writing a blog post on the subject of technology. I’ll try to keep away from giving you news on HTC, Windows Mobile, and Android phones, but I can’t make any promises. So what should the first Tech Tuesday blog post be about?
Over the past few weeks, Twitter has gotten a lot of press coverage in the mainstream media. The main reason for this was that Ashton Kutcher challenged CNN to see who could get 1 million Twitter followers first. Long story short, Ashton won the race. So what? What does this mean for you? Not much actually, but it does show where people’s priorities are and what they are interested in. (more…)
