This site has gone through a few different phases:
We started nicknrachel.com during our engagement in 2004.  The site originally contained our engagement photos and wedding info for our guests.  It then transformed into a blog where we (mostly Rachel) write about the happenings in our lives for family and friends living far away.

About Us

Rachel

Rachel began journaling in first grade recording her feelings about daily events in a 3×5 journal covered in hearts.  During her teenage years writing became therapeutic as the “drama” unfolded in her life.  While busy with college studies, her journaling became scarce until she discovered the world of blogging in 2005.  The first entries on nicknrachel.com are imported from her blogspot blog and she continued to be the primary blogger in the family until recently.

Rachel has a BA in Elementary Education with a Communication Arts concentration.  She currently works at North Central University teaching a course on making the most out of a college career:  the “survival” skills, goal setting, motivation, study tips, etc. and operates the academic support services and tutoring program on campus.
When she’s not at work or blogging, she loves being a mommy to Mariah who was born in March 2009.
